Speaker: Aniko Lengyel PhD.
Dr Lengyel specializes in Functional Medicine and has a practice at the Villa Park Medical Group Offices. Her approach to medicine is to maximize system functionality. Her topic today was how to stay healthy during the ongoing Flu pandemic. She is not an advocate of the flu vaccine, but prefers to do things that will strengthen the body's immune system. She advocate drinking clean water, hand washing, healthful nutrition, regular exercise for at least 30 minutes per day and getting 7-9 hours of sleep nightly. She spoke briefly on each of these areas and advocated taking vitamens- antioxidants, Zinc and Vitamin D3. It was an interesting talk with lots of good information. Dr Lengyel will send me more information and I will forward it to the group.
Next week we will induct new member Sr. Pastor Stan Van Den Berg and transferring members Pete Moriarty and Linda Dorn.
Happy Halloween. See you next week.
