Speaker: Jeannie Hankins

Jeannie spoke to us about her recent trip to Russia.  She spent 15 cruising the rivers between St. Petersburg and Moscow.  The boat had 200 passengers and 100 Russian Crew members.  Jeannie was able to visit many of the typical tourist attractions, but also got to visit native Russians in their homes.  She was very impressed with the Hermitage and the state-of- the- art Subway System in Moscow.  She learned that Russia is still trying to evolve following the fall of Communism and is struggling to create a middle class. Jeannie brought lots of great brochures and photos as a memento of her trip.
